It's my birthday...

but you get the present! Just comment on this post before midnight on 11/10 and you'll be eligible for a $10 Amazon GC.

Not only is it my birthday on Monday, but today is my son's birthday! When the heck did I get old enough to have a 26 year old child?? I know I've bragged about him before, but isn't that what mom's are supposed to do?? He's a 1LT in the Air Force and will graduate in May with a Masters in Computer Science. Happy Birthday, Cory!

Don't forget, the Class of '93 Trilogy is available for Kindle:

Attorney Aiden Greene’s life has become one predictable routine of work, work, and more work punctuated by weekend visits with his twins. A blast from his Air Force special operations days changes all of that in an instant. He winds up in the arms of his one true love and on the run for his very life.

Major Erika Dalton is one of the best officers in the history of the ultra-secret Air Force Security Agency. That’s one of the reasons she’s been assigned to protect Aiden Greene from an escaped Latin American drug lord intent on exacting retribution.

Except she can’t keep her mind on her assignment. Or her hands off of Aiden, despite the fact that back in the Spring of ’93, back at the United States Air Force Academy, he shattered her heart. Has fate

A serial killer is loose on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania, killing couples in their tents, and the local jurisdictions have asked the FBI for help.

Hot shot Special Agent Braden Powell is anxious to hit the Trail and start camping. He hopes that the high profile case will boost his standing at the Agency, proving that he deserved the assignment after leaving the Air Force. He’s even more anxious to spend time in close quarters with his sexy new partner.

Special Agent Katrina Boyd is anything but pleased to be on a remote assignment with a loose cannon. Eight young people are dead and she’s stuck with a maverick for a partner on a case that could propel her FBI career to the next level. Compounding the disaster is the fact that her traitorous body is more than excited at the thought of sleeping next to the handsome Agent night after night.

 Appearances can be deceiving.
Major Chadwick Monroe knows that all too well. He is the best fighter pilot the Air Force has ever seen and he is about to defect with the military’s newest weapon. Chad has a mission very few people know about – he’s an officer with the ultra-secret Air Force Security Agency, trying to thwart a Latin American terrorist organization. He has no time for a woman in his life, or so he thinks.

Casey Wilkes doesn’t trust men in general, fighter pilots in particular. The divorced single mother burns the candle at both ends to make ends meet and provide a life for her young son. The last thing she needs or wants in that life is another jet jockey, even one who draws her in and captivates her heart. Especially one who exposes her to cutthroat blackguards. Now she just has to convince her heart.

Snowed in and blogging

Well, my blogging date went whooshing by last month in a blaze of day job responsibilities. January is a busy month for us as we are preparing for and putting on a statewide conference.

And I was so excited to post last month. Finally, all three books in the Class of '93 trilogy are available for Kindle! I'm very excited that they have been reissued with hot new covers.

Plus, I was anxious to share the news that my favorite Ranger is back CONUS safe and sound!! Yes, he'll be going O-CONUS again, that's what he does. But for now, it's nice not to worry.

So, at long last, here they are, all 3 books in the Class of '93 trilogy!

Attorney Aiden Greene’s life has become one predictable routine of work, work, and more work punctuated by weekend visits with his twins. A blast from his Air Force special operations days changes all of that in an instant. He winds up in the arms of his one true love and on the run for his very life.

Except she can’t keep her mind on her assignment. Or her hands off of Aiden, despite the fact that back in the Spring of ’93, back at the United States Air Force Academy, he shattered her heart. Has fate given her a chance to reclaim what she lost all those years ago?

Why, yes, it is my day to post!

Where did the time go?? It was just Dec. 1. And all of a sudden, it's Dec. 9. It's a good thing I had my post all planned out for today! Even if I forgot it was today.

I'm very excited because the final book in my Class of '93 trilogy will be available on Kindle on Dec. 15.

The first book in the series is Deadly Briefs.

Attorney Aiden Greene’s life has become one boring routine of work, work, and more work punctuated by weekend visits with his twins.

Has fate given her a chance to reclaim what she lost all those years ago?

The second book is Trail of Desire.

Compounding the disaster is the fact that her traitorous body is more than excited at the thought of sleeping next to the handsome agent night after night.

The third book is Call of Duty.

The last thing she needs or wants in that life is another jet jockey, especially one who exposes her to cutthroat blackguards. Even one who draws her in and captivates her. Now she just has to convince her heart she's better off without him.

The holiday season is in full swing! I wish you a joyous holiday that leaves your TBR piles overflowing with new reads and I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!

Veterans Day Remembrances (and a GC giveaway!)

It's going to be a busy 3 days in the Forella household!

Today is my son's birthday. Please take a minute to wish a very happy and healthy birthday to my favorite 1LT!  This is a picture of my handsome son and his beautiful wife at his promotion in July. I'm so very proud of the man he's become! I wish I could take some credit for it, but I really can't, because he's been amazing since the day he was born. But don't tell him I said that, it'll go to his head!

Then the very next day is my birthday! And since I'm such a kind and generous soul (no snickering allowed from the peanut gallery!), I'll be giving one lucky winner a present! Everyone who likes me on Facebook by Nov. 11 at 11:59 pm will be entered to win a $25 gift card from Amazon!  :)  I'll announce the winner on my Facebook page on the evening of Nov. 12.

Click here for a chance to win!

And then, November 11. Veterans Day. It's more than just a 3-day weekend for my son's birthday. Not for me and my birthday, but for him. It's a chance to honor those serving in our armed forces and to remember those who have served both at home and abroad. I'll be saying a special prayer today for three members of my family and my extended family who are currently serving in the US armed forces today. First on my list, of course, is my favorite CONUS-based 1LT. Thank goodness he's not in harm's way on a daily basis, I don't think my heart could handle it! My poor heart goes through enough worrying about my favorite 2LT and my favorite Army Ranger! I about have a stroke whenever I hear something on the news. I don't know how his mother stays sane! And then there's my favorite soon-to-be Army helicopter pilot. Who is the sister of my favorite Army Ranger. Good grief, another one to worry about! I never thought I'd see the day when I worried about Army personnel.  :)  Their mother is my dearest friend, the friend who's been with me the longest, but I can't say my oldest friend because I'm a month older than her and she never lets me forget it! It's a good thing I love her!

I stole, er, borrowed this picture from her Facebook page.

But my list isn't complete yet. I'll be saying a prayer in memory of my maternal grandfather who served in the Navy in WWII. And one in memory of my paternal uncle who just passed away who served in the Air Force. And another one in honor of my other paternal uncle who served in the Navy. And I'll be saying a very special prayer in honor of my father who served in the Air Force for 25 years. I love you, Daddy!

Please say a prayer, give thanks, or show your respect in any way you see fit. Some gave all and all gave some.

And don't forget! Deadly Briefs, Book 1 of the Class of '93 Trilogy will soon be available for Kindle! No word yet on books 2 and 3, but they're coming!

Class of '93 Trilogy: A cover reveal, a release date, and an excerpt

Hello!  Wow, the 9th snuck up on me this month. It shouldn't have. My daughter-in-law's birthday was on the 7th and my oldest niece's birthday was on the 8th. So I should have known that the 9th was coming. Math may not be my strong suit but I can count!

Anyway, it's coming! The first book in my Class of '93 Trilogy, Deadly Briefs, is being re-released. It'll be available on Kindle on Nov. 15. Here's a first look at the new and improved, and VERY HOT, cover! I hope you enjoy the excerpt.

Simultaneous explosions rocked Aiden Greene’s world.

A flaming orange and red fireball erupted around him, knocking him flat on his ass. Or more appropriately, catapulting him away from the inferno. The impact whooshed the air out of
his lungs and scattered his wits. Intense heat singed the hair on his arms and melted the plastic buttons on his shirt. It heated his watch until the band burned his skin, and the zipper of his pants
scorched him through his underwear. Pieces of burning debris fluttered in the air around him. His ears hurt, the raging fire and subsequent popping aftershocks pained his sensitive eardrums. The burning rubber assaulted his lungs with every gasp of air.

Dear God in heaven, what the hell was going on? He flashed back to memories of war zones, when he’d been an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force. Except this wasn’t some foreign country, this was the good old US of A and he’d just left his apartment to head to his office at the law firm to sneak in some extra time at work.

But all of that paled in comparison to the second shock to his system. A warm, feminine body pressed his to the ground. Long suppressed instincts, Air Force survival training from a lifetime ago, struggled to the surface as he laid prone on the asphalt with his eyes closed. Generous breasts bore into the
muscle of his chest. Soft hips cradled an entirely different muscle, one much too happy, given the circumstances.

Her tiny hands searched his body with medical efficiency. She slid over him, her breasts bumping his chin. His mouth watered to sample the plump flesh through the layers of her clothes. Her fingers combed through his hair and checked his scalp before moving down his arms and sides. Her downward
motion brought her hips in linewith his again. Mr. Happy throbbed his thanks—it had been too long since he’d been even this close to a woman. Obviously, Mr. Happy didn’t give two shits about the chaos and confusion surrounding them. The sudden strength in those hands surprised him as she prodded and pushed on his abdomen, then moved down his legs.

“Oh, thank God.” She straddled his thighs, his errant fantasies filled with visions of her riding him. “It looks like you were far enough away to avoid any serious burns. You just have some minor injuries.”

That voice. He knew that voice.

Finally able to pry his lids open, Aiden found himself staring into the green eyes of Erika Dalton. The one that got away. Or more appropriately, the one he was too stupid to keep.
