Hostage Rescue Team Series: Marked

The first book of my new Hostage Rescue Series is out now! This one features FBI Special Agent Jake Evers, whom you might remember from the Titanium Security Series.

When danger lurks behind a familiar face…
Successful architect Rachel Granger loves her job and her life, but when a terrorist on the FBI’s most wanted list targets her, there’s only one man she can trust. She hasn’t seen Jake in years but her former college friend told her he’d always be there for her and she definitely needs him now. Even though her feelings for him go far deeper than friendship and just being around him risks her heart, she would do anything to keep those she loves safe from a madman bent on unleashing hell.
Only one man from her past can help
FBI Special Agent Jake Evers made the biggest mistake of his life when he let Rachel slip through his fingers over two years ago. It doesn’t matter that he hasn’t seen her since then—if she needs him, he’ll be there. When he learns that she’s the target of a domestic terror cell, he’ll do everything in his power to keep her safe. He’s never gotten over her and won’t risk losing her again now that she’s reappeared in his life. But the threat is more widespread than they realized and now it’s a race against time to keep her and scores of innocent civilians alive.

But when navigating military red tape begins to present more challenges than the enemy it makes Jon question his future. So does Alison Cressly, the one woman he can’t get out of his head.

HOT BAYOU SEAL by Award-winning author Cindy Dees — Ford Alambeaux is a busted up SEAL on his way out of the teams. Will either of them—or their hearts—survive the hottest op ever?

DELTA: RETRIBUTION by USA Today bestselling author Cristin Harber — Fallen Navy SEAL and Titan Group’s Delta recruit Trace Reeves wants nothing more than a one-night stand to forget that his twin brother was killed-in-action. But when his one-time fling becomes his high value target, the lines blur between her rescue mission and saving himself.

WATCH OVER ME (An Uncharted SEAL story) by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Delilah Devlin — When Deke Warrick accepts an unsanctioned detail to keep tabs on a congressman’s niece while she vacations in the Caribbean, he expects the only dangers he’ll face are sunburn and a rum hangover. SEAL'S OBSESSION (A Take No Prisoners story) by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Elle James — Tasked with finding and eliminating the source of terrorist pirate activities off the coast of Honduras, SEAL TEAM 10's Jack Fischer "Fish" goes undercover as a deck hand on a floating medical boat where he finds himself protecting and falling for the beautiful and dedicated Dr. Natalie Rhoades.

Ooops. Suddenly, Mari finds herself the hunted.
UNBREAKABLE SEAL by USA Today bestselling author J.M. Madden — Maxwell Tate fights against a psychotic dream world, his sense of reality warped until he no longer knows what’s real and what’s not. MISTER BLACK by Award-winning author P.T. Michelle — We all have someone who crossed our path and fundamentally changed us.  My person is MISTER BLACK. I didn’t know him by that name when I first met him, but the impression he left behind was just as powerful as the name I call him today. He is Black: a deadly enforcer and masterful seducer. I am Red: a justice bleeder and willing participant. When our secrets converge in a passionate encounter, stepping out of the shadows just might be worth the risk.

STONE HARD SEAL by Award-winning author Sabrina York — A hostage rescue mission turns Ryder “Stone” Maddox’s world on its ear when he comes face-to-face with his greatest fear: A woman he cannot resist. But he has to resist Lily Wilson. He’s vowed never to fall in love. Besides, as the daughter of a senator, she is definitely off-limits. Lily sees things differently. Irresistibly drawn to this hot, hard SEAL, she is determined to prove they belong together…and that her man does not have a heart of stone.

Lori Foster Reader and Author Get together Recap

I've been going to Lori Foster Reader and Author event for about 5 years now. I actually started going before I was published. It was the first I ever went to and it holds a special place in my heart. This year was no different.
I can't even begin to list all of the wonderful people I personally reconnected with, but I'll hit some hi-lights.
Kimberly Hill and Mayas Jamarla Sanders went into cahoots to make me these and I almost cried I was so touched.

It's all the covers from my Lost and Found series books on coasters!

Then the readers made memory books to have signed by the authors and I thought these were so cute!

The staff at the Marriot was cracking us up. There were two waiters checking out the cardboard cutouts of the models and when we egged them on, the one guy had to tweak the model's nipples. Too funny!

And finally, a few more pics.

The event always sells out super fast. This year I heard it had sold out in an hour and a half. But it is well worth the effort to stalk the sign-up page. The ratio of authors to readers is about 100 to 400, so very reader heavy. It's scheduled very nicely and everything runs the way it is supposed to. There's a wonderful benefit raffle every year and this year I heard we raised over $17,000 for a Children's charity!

SO, if you ever get the chance, check out the Reader Author event! It's well worth the trip.

Military Stories in the News #Inspiration

Where do we get our ideas? I hear that question all the time. To be honest, I can't always answer it with anything more than "where don't I get a story idea?" Some stories leap off the screen and capture your attention. Some are sound bites heard on the radio or on the evening news. Still others are shared on social media and take on a life of their own. Story ideas come from everywhere. So I thought I'd share with you the stories that got my attention this week. What about you? - Heather
